Antitrust Suit Against Apple Over App Store Dismissed

Retailers on New Gmail: 'Ack'

“Ack.”
That was retailer Kate Spade’s response after finding out that its emails to customers who use Gmail are ending up in a filter called promotions — a penned off tab that keeps deals and marketing solicitations out of the main mailbox.
“Let’s stay together,” Kate Spade pleaded in an email to its newsletter subscribers. Gmail’s “new inbox settings may have started filing away your Saturday.com emails into the depths of something called a ‘Promotions’ tab.”
To be fair, the new Gmail layout is easy to navigate and you know when there are new emails tucked away behind a tab. (Whether you want them there is another question entirely). The idea of email filters, folders and categories are nothing new.
