韓國NHN,Google 1/4 秒的威力,“iTunes Radio”, Google CEO Larry Page had not heard of PRISM until last Thursday






美國蘋果於當地時間2013年6月10日宣布,將於2013年秋季在美國啟動帶廣告的免費流媒體音樂服務“iTunes Radio”。除了iPhone、iPad和iPod touch以外,還能在個人電腦(Mac、PC)和Apple TV上使用iTunes Radio



成立不過十三年,NHN是網路界的韓國驕傲。
NHN有三大產品,每個不是韓國最大、就是即將成為最大的品牌:搜尋引擎Naver、遊戲入口網站Hangame,和即時通訊軟體Line。
集團旗艦品牌、佔營收一半的搜尋引擎Naver,「在韓國地位遠遠超過Google,」金相憲說,Naver在韓國市佔率超過七○%,Google只有二%。
金相憲分析,Naver能擊敗全球霸主Google,和韓國人的「愛國心」沒有關係,而是因為「我們把用戶的需求放在最前面。」
Naver的成功祕技,是徹底分析用戶習慣,提供整合搜尋服務。例如,搜索某個人的生日、學經歷、著作等所有資訊,全部出現在同一張頁面,像一個完整的個人資料庫。
「要在韓國找到沒和我們合作的內容提供者,非常困難,」金相憲驕傲地說。
話說回來,NHN如果沒有政府力量挹注,也走不了這麼快。
在網路初興的九○年末期,韓國政府就大力扶植網路產業。在全韓鋪設基礎設施,成為全球網路最快速、覆蓋率最高的國家。
「韓國政府永遠走在市場需求之前,」金相憲說,韓國政府發展網路產業,並不是直接金援重點企業,把它養大;而是創造好的環境,讓企業自己拚。
NHN十年磨劍的另個成功關鍵,是一開始就走出韓國,打「區域戰」。
日本是NHN第一個海外灘頭堡。以Hangame品牌攻入熱愛電玩遊戲的日本市場,至今擁有三千五百萬用戶。也就是說,每四個日本人,就有一個是Hangame用戶。
新上場的殺手級產品,是能免費通話、傳影音檔和圖檔的即時聊天軟體Line。......Line在台灣有八二○萬使用者,台灣每十支智慧手機,就有九支用Line。
成功祕訣?Line事業部總經理姜玄玭透露,造型可愛的貼圖是Line的奇蹟。核心競爭力是一群貼圖設計師,光是哭,就有九種不同情境的哭臉貼圖。
台灣手機即時通訊軟體Cubie創辦人馮彥文觀察,貼圖這一招看似容易模仿,其實很難。「這需要一些品味,」他強調,消費者喜愛Line娃娃的程度,已跟Hello Kitty差不多。
馮彥文總結,Line靠的是貼紙而非強大功能,對企業的啟示是:「只要一些小改變,就可以讓使用者對你的產品有不同看法。」
韓國第一 要拚世界第一
NHN自認,和韓國傳統大企業非常不同,但是,他們還是有個最大共通點:永遠在想「challenge big」(挑戰大咖)。Hangame已攻入中、日、美市場,Naver緊盯Google,Line劍指臉書,韓國第一已經無法滿足NHN。......
