Google最新旗艦手機Nexus5前日（周四）正式發售，本港亦於昨天開賣。新機比上代更薄更輕，採用最新的Android4.4 KitKat系統，Google官網甫推售，首批16GB黑機在幾分鐘內已售罄，本港主要電器商目前只售16GB版本。

Nexus5由南韓LG生產，其中一個賣點是比其他Android機率先採用KitKat作業系統。KitKat挾帶Google強大的資訊和搜索功能， 變身「萬能秘書」，比用家更早一步提供所需資料，例如用家行經電影院，手機自動彈出電影放映時間；在某個特定地點，KitKat會預先提供人們多數需要資 訊，如到訪國家公園景點，手機即顯示相關資料。Google的Android主管披猜說︰「我們的預設是，每次你拿起手機一瞥，都看到所需資訊。」

16GB港售3,898元

KitKat還肩負「一統江湖」的重任，讓不同品牌的Android手機和板腦都可以升級使用，但實際能否舊換新要視乎各手機商是否採用。
Nexus5前日在10個國家和地區開售，有黑白兩色，官網16GB售349美元（2,722港元），32GB售399美元（3,112港元）。本港主要 電器商豐澤和百老匯目前只有16GB版，售3,898港元。比iPhone和三星Galaxy便宜，預料銷情理想，可爭到不少Android用戶，但未足 以搶走蘋果客。
