谷歌(Google)計劃用10億英鎊,在北倫敦國王十字區(King's Cross)為英國分公司(Google UK)建新總部大樓。
谷歌在英國的分公司已經買下那裏一片2.4英畝(約9712平米)的地皮,在那裏建7層和11層高的新樓作為新家。
現在分佈在市中心維多利亞(Victoria)和霍本(Holborn)兩處商業中心的谷歌英國辦公室將於2016年新址落成後搬家。
谷歌英國的新總部處於「國王十字中央」(King's Cross Central)物業開發區內,小區佔地67英畝,原來是個漁農產品堆儲場。
開發項目全部完工後,谷歌英國總部的鄰居將包括一些其他的辦公樓、商場商店和居民樓。
谷歌在國外的分公司通常租用辦公室,但過去兩年先後在巴黎和都柏林購置物業作為分公司總部。倫敦是它的第三個海外「家園」。
