If you use Google's Chrome then you should be aware of a new threat which could leave your most private and personal details exposed to hackers.
The issue, which was spotted by cybersecurity firm Eleven Paths, uses a sneaky Chrome extension to steal data from forms filled in on websites visited by the victim.
This extension was first spotted last year with Eleven Paths recently posting a blog saying it's still very much active.

Speaking about how the extension is finding its way on to browsers, Eleven Paths explained: "Instead of targeting victims through searches or massive emailing – which would make this campaign much more successful but at the same time much more ‘detectable’– the attackers have opted for another method.

"They infect websites using a JavaScript that can detect if the browser is a Chrome one.
"In such a case, they just redirect to a web site indicating the users that they must install Flash, and then they are redirected to that extension."
With many people using online forms to send personal data such name, address and even bank details there is a serious threat this latest attack could leave some Chrome users open to being hacked.
Eleven Paths say they have alerted Google about the extension in the hope that it is removed from the market as soon as possible.
However, if you use Chrome and find yourself being asked to install the 'Flash Player' make sure it's only downloaded from the official Adobe site.rogress: 0%

The news of this Chrome hack comes as Google aims to make its browser more user-friendly.
Last year Google launched its built-in ad blocker in some countries which is aimed at stopping users seeing some pop-up ads on desktops and flashing animated ads on mobile devices.
And now Google has revealed that the built-in ad blocker for Chrome will be expanding to every country in the world.
It's been confirmed that the Chrome ad blocker expansion will come into force on July 9 2019.

In a statement, Google said: “Our ultimate goal is not to filter ads, but to build a better web for everyone, everywhere.
“Chrome's enforcement of the Coalition’s standards has inspired many website owners to improve the advertising experience on their sites in a way that benefits users.
“In the U.S, Canada, and Europe, website owners have successfully been able to make changes to the ads on their sites.
“As of January 1 2019, two thirds of all publishers who were at one time non-compliant to the Better Ads Standards are now in good standing.
“Further, out of millions of sites we’ve reviewed to date, less than one per cent have had their ads filtered.”
