Google擁有300名安全專家，堪比情報機構

2012年11月6日，Google召開了與雲端服務及該公司其他服務的安全相關說明會。在Google集團的企業部門擔任安全總負責人的Eran Feigenbaum通過視訊會議介紹了該公司的安全措施。

據Feigenbaum介紹，對於很多企業來說，保存業務資料的設備遺失或被盜是個大風險。「由於也可在家或在外辦公的環境逐步建立起來，因此公司員工攜帶業務資料外出的情況越來越多。」
這樣一來，業務資料就會曝露在危險之中。某項調查結果表明，「約60％的業務資料保存在未採取安全措施的桌上型電腦及筆記型電腦中」。

另外，Feigenbaum 還介紹說，有調查結果顯示，筆記型電腦10台中就有1台在購買後1年內被盜，而且6成以上的用戶丟過隨身碟，他藉此強調隨身攜帶業務資料的危險性，並宣傳了將數據放到伺服器上的雲端服務的有用性。

此外，Feigenbaum 還介紹了Google的相關舉措。他介紹說，Google在全球擁有300名安全工程師，「擁有如此多安全工程師的組織恐怕只有國家級別的情報機構」。

同時，Feigenbaum 還介紹了Google提供的安全功能等。他強烈推薦Web郵件服務「Gmail」等可使用的「兩步驗證」服務。

在開啟該服務時，輸入用戶ID（郵件地址）和密碼登錄時，還會向事先登記的手機號碼發送只在一定時間內有效的「一次性密碼」。不輸入該一次性密碼的話，就不能登錄Gmail。

也就是說，只知道用戶ID和密碼是無法登錄的，除了知道ID和密碼外，還必須持有能接收到一次性密碼的手機。Feigenbaum 表示，「該服務無需付費即可強化安全性，因此請Gmail用戶務必將其開啟」。（記者：勝村幸博，《日經電腦》）
